hello there, i’m Irit

Passionate about embodied healing and liberation.

Hello from Naarm/Melbourne, where I’ve been practising bodywork for the past 15 years, and have devoted the past decade to studying (and now practising) astrology.

My approach to both is informed by my therapeutic interactions with my many clients, as well as my own lived experience as a queer and neurodivergent person learning to navigate common experiences like chronic pain and illness, burnout, shame, dysfunctional relationships and intergenerational trauma.

I’ve found bodywork to be a powerful tool for moving through discomfort and expanding my capacity for joy, transformation and living in alignment with the wisdom of my body and soul.

Astrology helps me understand relationships between different parts of myself and empowers me to make conscious and intentional choices about how I orient in the world.

My other passions include music, drawing and, as someone with a lot of Sagittarius energy, adventures in nature.

What links bodywork
& astrology?

Bodywork and astrology are complementary tools for the same purpose: helping you integrate your experiences and step into greater clarity, freedom, and agency.

Bodywork softens areas of tension and restriction so you can feel at ease and access your body’s wisdom, while astrology shines a light on your soul’s lessons and life patterns.

Together, they offer a holistic view of the world - one grounded in the body, the other sourced from the stars - both guiding you back to your truth and your power.

Bodywork and astrology are valuable tools for shadow work and personal development, enabling you to take responsibility for understanding yourself and your patterns with compassion, growing and developing with intention, and transforming shame and trauma.

my qualifications and training:

I’m a member of Massage and Myotherapy Australia and my bodywork qualifications include:

  • Massage Therapy (Certificate 4)

  • Emmett Technique (Modules 1–EP6, Emmett Technique for Dogs and Small Animals)

  • McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release

  • Five Element Acupressure (Level 2, Working with Emotions)

  • Safer Professional Touch

I’ve explored a range of other somatic practices, including Yoga, Vipassana meditation, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, body mapping, generative somatics and more.

I’ve also studied Evolutionary Astrology with Sabrina Monarch, Embodied Astrology with Renee Sills, and other astrological lineages.

I offer a safer and inclusive space where all people are welcome, including SWs. As a queer and neurodivergent person with lived experience of trauma, I prioritise a collaborative approach, trauma-informed practice, and clear policies around consent and boundaries.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you’re experiencing multiple or complex issues, a 90-minute treatment will enable us to make the most progress. A 90-minute session is also advisable if you have a large area of scar tissue to be worked on.

1 hour treatments are best for addressing simpler issues and for ongoing maintenance.

  • There are different costs associated with each of the locations I work from, and my fees reflect that. The most cost effective place to see me for bodywork is at my home clinic in Coburg.

  • Yes, I do offer home visits in some areas. If you’d like me to come to you, please get in touch here and let me know where you’re based so I can confirm whether a home visit is possible. Please note that due to the extra travel time involved, fees for home visits start at $180 per hour, depending on your location.

  • I value accessibility to and dignity in seeking healthcare. I offer one low-cost booking per month with no explanation required. Please contact me for my next availability.

  • That depends on your situation, where you’d like to be, and how you respond to treatment. I’ll make a recommendation during your treatment, however, you know your body and its needs best.

Some clients come occasionally; others come regularly for ongoing support.

Sometimes we start with a few sessions over a short period of time then taper off as your body adjusts and rebalances.

  • Pain and tenderness are sometimes experienced during treatment, as your body responds to our work together and shifts tension and emotion. It’s usually transient and mild, but occasionally persists for a couple of days. Think of it as the healthy form of pain that often accompanies healing and changes.

I’ll always be conscious of your comfort levels, and will check in frequently.

  • Bodywork payments are accepted as cash, bank transfer, PayID or credit card (1.9% surcharge) at the time of your treatment.

  • Yes, if you’re covered for Massage Therapy with ARHG or CBHS.

  • After you’ve booked your appointment I will send you a booking confirmation with the address details, including how to get there and where to park. Both locations are accessible by public transport.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact me as early as you can using the contact number provided in your booking confirmation email (text message preferred).

Please note there is a $50 cancellation fee if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice.

  • Most treatments are performed fully clothed, but with your shoes, belt and sometimes jewellery removed. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing rather than tight jeans or skirts, which may interfere with your treatment.

If your treatment includes scar tissue release, which requires direct contact with the skin, some undressing may be needed, and draping will be provided to ensure you’re comfortable throughout.

  • Yes, my treatments are suitable during pregnancy. You won’t need to lie on your tummy, and I’ll take extra care of you and your baby every step of the way.

  • I take extra care to support your comfort. As a neurodivergent person, I’m very aware of the importance of sensory needs and psychological safety in healthcare settings. I aim to reduce sensory overwhelm by conducting almost all my treatments with the client fully clothed, keep lighting low and glare-free, and don’t use scented oils or candles in my practice. I also wear an N95 mask during treatment to support those with compromised immunity. Please contact me before your appointment to discuss any additional accommodations you need.

Astrology bookings and fees

Astrology readings are conducted via Zoom and are $110 for 1 hour, paid in advance.

  • Knowing your time of birth is valuable for astrology readings, but not essential. If it’s not available, we can still do a very helpful reading, albeit with a little less detail in some areas.

  • No. Predictive astrology isn’t my area of specialisation. When you work with me, we treat astrology as a tool for personal development and growth to help you make sense of what is going on in your world at this phase of your life, so that you can use those insights to consciously create the life you want to live.

  • Yes. Astrology sheds light on patterns, drivers and motivations, helping you gain clarity and agency.
